About The Position

The Staffing Associate organizes and facilitates all staffing and scheduling needs within the nursing department. The staffing Associate is also responsible for assisting the Director of Med/Surg and/or Clinical Directors in time card processing; including review and editing.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to answer the telephone in a professional manner
Ability to meet the needs of the department by distributing staff appropriately
Ability to receive extensive training in both time/attendance and advanced scheduling

Responsibilities

Assist Director of Med/Surg/Clinical Directors to prepare master schedules
Coordinate placements of appropriate personnel to fill various shift vacancies
Provide daily maintenance and upkeep with scheduling software
Expert User in the scheduling software
Communicate staff adjustments to Supervisors and Clinical Directors
Record keeper for all vacations, holidays, schedule exchanges, and leave of absences of nursing staff
Point of contact for unscheduled vacancies (sick calls, etc.)
Work in collaboration with the Director of Med/Surg/Clinical Directors to ensure appropriate placement of available resources
Maintain a current list of all employee phone numbers
Enter all absenteeism into the scheduling software
Enter all exception logs into the scheduling software
Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures
Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department
