Ensures the coordination, distribution and timeliness of the scheduling process. Manages the day to day timekeeping process for nursing units. Maintains an excellent working knowledge of the staffing/scheduling/payroll software and is able to troubleshoot problems in the system. Coordinates daily activities of the staffing office reporting problems or relevant issues to the manager of human resources. Maintains a working relationship with other team members in the office. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Communicates with nursing units and performs duties to ensure accurate and timely completion of all timecards. Updates and maintains daily rosters; partners with the House Supervisor to resolve staffing issues and prepare for upcoming schedules. Collaborates with the Director/Nursing Supervisor to identify staffing gaps and determine coverage needs using resources effectively. Provides support to leaders in resolving timecard and scheduling challenges. Helps colleagues and leaders with timekeeping or scheduling adjustments and changes as needed. Recognizes personal learning needs, sets yearly performance goals, and creates a plan for professional and personal growth. Uses hospital resources responsibly. Meets productivity expectations and ensures accurate scheduling and timecard adjustments to support patient care needs. Positively supports changes in technology and processes. Serves as a knowledgeable resource on the scheduling system. Oversees timely dissemination of staffing schedules. Accurately creates and maintains electronic staffing schedules and demonstrates full knowledge of the scheduling system. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, including matters related to personnel, absences, and employment status changes. Maintains departmental confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA regulations. Actively seeks growth opportunities and participates in medical center and departmental education programs to enhance job performance. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Manager.
