About The Position

Requirements

• Understanding of the pop culture business and knowledge of market trends.
• Ability to source and report on interesting pop culture stories.
• Knowledge across a wide range of genres, focusing on high-profile releases.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends for conventions and press events.
• Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, and team mentality.
• Willingness to travel 3-5 times domestically and internationally.
• Experience in keyword research and analysis for content optimization.
• Experience in creating, editing, and publishing video content.

Responsibilities

• Select target franchises in collaboration with the Popverse team.
• Maintain expert knowledge of pop culture content and monitor its popularity.
• Ensure content is structured for SEO, eCommerce, and reader usability.
• Monitor article performance and adjust content to maximize audience reach.
• Analyze major pop culture content across various genres and deliver concise articles under time pressure.
• Produce news content by sourcing information, reporting data, and writing press releases.
• Host panels at live events, including moderating and interviewing.
