We are looking for an experienced Staff Web Engineer to join our team. We seek creative collaborators who evolve, adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced growth environment. This individual will be helping solve challenges on Robinhood Legend, a web first, high-performance and world-class trading product centered on the web. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Requirements
- 8+ years of professional Software Development experience
- Demonstrable experience as a Staff level developer with over 6 years of professional experience working with modern Web technologies
- Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
- A track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
- Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes
- Deeply understand broad engineering and product disciplines so that you can work effectively across functions and skill-sets
- Experience with Typescript, React, Next.js, NodeJS
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our trading, operations, design and product management teams to design and develop mission-critical web-based solutions to create efficiencies and scale within the trading ecosystem
- Navigate ambiguity across requirements and workflows to define engineering tasks and deliverables
- Design frameworks and tools that empower other engineers across teams
- Provide accountability and leadership across trading products and engineering fronts
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Lead organization-wide collaboration for the team
