Taylor Engineering is seeking a motivated entry-level (civil, coastal, environmental, water resources, or other relevant degree) to join our nationally recognized floodplain mapping team onsite in Jacksonville, Florida supporting efforts to reduce flood risk and protect communities. As a Coastal or Water Resources Engineer, you’ll work with experienced engineers and scientists to: Review Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) requests to evaluate proposed changes to flood hazard data. Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) and/or coastal models for technical soundness. Contribute to model development, mapping support, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with NFIP technical standards and other governmental regulations. Communicate your findings clearly in written reports and with project stakeholders.
