About The Position

T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Staff Engineer 2 to join our Water Market in Philadelphia, PA! This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to advance their career and grow within the framework of an award-winning engineering consulting firm. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects including water and wastewater treatment facilities, linear infrastructure, pumping stations, condition assessments, and field inspections. The primary focus will be on the design of linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects for the City of Philadelphia’s utility infrastructure replacement and upgrade program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of related engineering experience in water/wastewater design and infrastructure.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Strong technical foundation with ability to develop neat, accurate, and detail-oriented design calculations.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, and senior management as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, with intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and linear infrastructure projects.
  • Support design of linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems for municipal utility upgrades.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and condition assessments.
  • Conduct field inspections and site assessments, as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Adapt to evolving project needs while managing multiple priorities effectively.
