About The Position

The Staff User Researcher for Consumer Growth at Coinbase will lead the UX research function, focusing on growing the user base and enhancing user engagement with the platform. This role involves conducting mixed-methods research, synthesizing insights, and collaborating with design, product, and data teams to drive impactful changes in user experience. The position is critical in shaping the user journey from onboarding to ongoing engagement with crypto products.

Requirements

• 7+ years of user research experience, preferably in a lead role for a large product area.
• Experience supporting growth, monetization, ads/marketing, or KPI-driven top-of-funnel teams.
• Strong metrics focus and fluency in quantitative data and experimentation.
• Confident team leadership and ability to guide stakeholders at various levels.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and influence strategy and decision-making.
• Experience managing project prioritization and multiple stakeholder relationships independently.
• Experience with both moderated and unmoderated testing.
• Collaborative attitude and humility, with a learner's mindset.
• Interest in crypto or financial products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UX Research function for the Consumer Growth organization.
• Coordinate and conduct mixed-methods research, including interviews, usability testing, concept testing, and surveys.
• Craft research reports to communicate findings and make design and product recommendations.
• Help stakeholders translate research insights into actionable ideas for experiments and campaigns.
• Synthesize qualitative research insights with data and analytics to improve Growth team metrics.
