The opportunity Altruist is in the midst of an exciting phase and we’re excited to hire a Staff Trust & Safety Engineer to join our growing Security team. Your expertise will ensure our products are secure. Your impact You will be partnering with our Fraud team to ensure Altruist is the most trusted broker dealer in the industry and minimize financial losses to our end users, RIAs, and company (in that order). You will design end client authentication systems partnering with product and engineering

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working in fraud, security or anti-abuse:
  • Experience leading large scale initiatives in fraud and security
  • Experience partnering with Product to build security, risk and fraud into the Product Development Life Cycle
  • Industry recognized expert in fraud
  • Expertise in threat intelligence, dark web research and understanding the latest fraud and security trends.
  • Experience in responding to large scale security and fraud events.
  • Ability to build, support and design systems that function at scale
  • You are comfortable being a one person team
  • A B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science or relevant experience
  • You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks. You use AI to its maximum extent to solve hard problems faster and quicker than others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing fraud resilient products in the financial services industry
  • World class knowledge of fraud topics such as: account take over, credential stuffing, financial fraud (such as ACH)
  • Deep understanding of malware targeting financial institutions

Responsibilities
