We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Test Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this position is to define, lead, and execute design verification strategies for sensor‑based CGM systems, with emphasis on sensor performance, robustness, environmental sensitivity, and use‑condition simulation. This role serves as a technical leader for sensor‑focused verification activities across development, design changes, and lifecycle support.

Requirements

  • You demonstrate strong engineering judgment in balancing test rigor, risk, timelines, and regulatory expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You effectively influence technical direction across functions without direct authority and clearly present complex technical data to drive alignment and decision‑making.
  • Provide clear, traceable technical rationale in verification documentation to support regulatory review and audits.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and positively influence technical decisions considering both short-term and long-term impacts.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical interface between Sensor Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Quality, translating sensor performance intent into executable and defensible verification strategies.
  • Own sensor‑focused design verification strategy, including test coverage, rationale, and risk alignment for sensor performance requirements.
  • Design and implement cost-effective test methods for electro-mechanical systems.
  • Create and maintain verification documentation, including test plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Apply statistical analysis to drive engineering conclusions, risk decisions, and verification sufficiency, and clearly communicate rationale to cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining and applying accelerated aging and shelf‑life verification strategies, including Arrhenius‑based Q10 methodology, to support design verification decisions and product lifecycle claims in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM F1980)
  • Develop and implement sensor‑specific test methods to evaluate accuracy, stability, drift, environmental sensitivity, and robustness under simulated use and misuse conditions.
  • Assess and lead verification impact for sensor design, material, process, or supplier changes, including definition of appropriate verification scope and justification.
  • Design, fabricate, and troubleshoot test fixtures and equipment.
