About The Position

About Marvell Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities. At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead. Your Team, Your Impact The Optics team develops highly integrated silicon photonics platforms that combine optical components, analog front ends, controller ASICs, and DSPs, enabled by robust embedded firmware. We own design, verification, validation, and system level testing across the full product lifecycle, from concept through NPI. The team develops production test software and custom test equipment for chips, sub assemblies, and modules, working closely with OSATs and contract manufacturers to support high volume production. What You Can Expect As a Staff Test Development Engineer in the Operations business group, you will test features on the silicon semiconductor chips Marvell produces for internal and external customers. You will make sure we don’t ship out any underperforming units. You’ll work closely with design to make sure their chip features are testable and that the results meet the customer’s specifications. You may even have to write new code or develop new testing strategies when our chips outpace the capabilities of current testing equipment.
