Technical recruiting at Databricks consists of a team of talent acquisition specialists who have invested their entire careers focused on helping their clients identify, attract, and hire the most qualified individuals for our clients. Our team is geographically distributed, with presence in Bay Area, Washington and remote US. Collectively, we are responsible for identifying, attracting and recruiting Technical candidates, who are transforming Databricks globally across all functions in this critical growth stage. Our clients are the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and their managers. We are engaged in hiring for all Technical roles across Engineering, Product, Support, IT and Security.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a highly professional business environment.
  • 6+ years of extensive Technical sourcing experience; sourcing for engineering, Product, customer support, IT and security profiles at multiple levels.
  • A proven track record of being scrappy and able to fulfill the searches in a timely manner.
  • Highly developed conceptual skills - able to synthesize information quickly, understand various industries and functions, and be able to present material in an organized, concise, and clear manner.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables.
  • Experience managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks, and switching gears while maintaining priorities.
  • Ability/agility to work with a number of constituencies on simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrable initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to develop well-planned strategies and achieve goals within tight timelines.
  • Experience using technology competently in a business setting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR business partners to set and drive strategy, goals, and process for their searches.
  • Support all aspects of the search process ranging from preparation for client meetings, including market research and drafting specifications.
  • Develop search strategies; identify, research, and contact prospective candidates.
  • Create status reports and candidate assessments and lead weekly status calls on search progress.
  • Conduct extensive research effort to map our markets and generate candidate names and target profiles for a high volume of searches.
  • Create robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest candidates while ensuring our commitment to diversifying our global workforce.
  • Calibrate and fine-tune candidate profiles with hiring managers.
  • Gain trust of prospective candidates and develop them into active candidates.
  • Uphold DB's hiring bar through rigorous screening, assessment and reference checks.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base of the group by providing education on industries and market conditions.
  • Proactively build out talent networks across diverse functions/industries and tap knowledgeable industry sources to help develop a competitive advantage.
  • Lead client update meetings and leverage data to advance search progress.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews and participate in debrief/hiring conversations.
