Role We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to join our Engineering Operations team. This is a hybrid role based in the San Jose, CA office 3 days a week, reporting to the Sr Director, Engineering Operations.The TPM will join Zscaler’s central Technical Program Management team and partner directly with a senior Service Organization leader. This role is responsible for establishing a clear intake and commitment process, leading execution and delivery reviews to ensure programs stay on track, and driving release readiness criteria to meet Zscaler’s quality bar.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Technical Program Management, with at least 2 years specifically in a TPM role
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, or a related domain
  • Proven bias for action with the ability to take smart risks and demonstrate incremental progress
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong technical proficiency in JIRA, including JIRA dashboards, JIRA Structure, and advanced tracking methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Drive program planning and definition to ensure the successful adoption of SDLC efforts within your functional area
  • Lead weekly execution reviews covering product initiatives, production incidents, service health, OKRs, and technical deep-dives
  • Oversee release content planning for current releases, active development, and future roadmaps
  • Prepare and present program reviews using JIRA structures to eliminate manual tracking and ensure clear communication across the organization
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing development processes and toolsets
