About The Position

The Engineering Operations and Business Services organization, within Engineering Service Solutions, has an opening for a Program Work Environment (PWE) Project Support team member. We are seeking an entry-level PWE Project Support team member to provide critical support to our project management teams within the Collins Secure Programs ecosystem. The role will be responsible for assisting in the coordination, planning, and execution of PWE Projects that deliver new secure engineering and program management office capabilities. You will support the team and programs by organizing project activities, tracking key milestones/metrics, and maintaining project documentation.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies and software (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience with JIRA

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior project managers and teams in planning, tracking, and coordinating project tasks and deliverables
  • Support the maintenance of project schedules and ensure project timelines are up to date
  • Help monitor project budgets and resources, flagging potential risks or issues to leadership
  • Organize and track project documentation, including meeting notes, timelines, reports, and change requests
  • Facilitate team meetings and follow up on action items to ensure project progress
  • Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for stakeholders on project status, milestones, and performance metrics
  • Financial analysis support including reporting, analysis, variance reporting, budgetary updates
  • Participate in cross-functional project reviews, learning how to drive communication and alignment between teams
  • Assist leadership in coordinating events, updating documents, and maintaining metrics
  • Assist in developing and distributing training materials and guides for project tools and processes
