About The Position

The Role We are seeking a highly experienced, self-driven Staff Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team, focused on Integrated Center Stack (ICS) display systems. This role provides technical leadership and system ownership for center stack display features that sit at the intersection of mechatronics, infotainment, UX, vehicle settings, hardware platforms, and vehicle programs. You will be responsible for translating product vision and customer experience intent into scalable, testable, and production-ready system solutions using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). This role plays a critical part in defining the end-to-end system architecture, feature decomposition, and integration strategy for ICS displays across software, electronics, mechanical components, and virtual validation environments. You will work closely with infotainment software, UX/design, hardware, validation, platform, and program teams to ensure ICS display solutions integrate seamlessly into vehicle architectures while meeting quality, performance, and timing targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Systems, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or software-intensive automotive development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system architecture, MBSE, requirements development, integration, and validation.
  • Strong background in model-based development and virtual simulation.
  • Proficiency with MBSE and requirements tools (e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS / DOORS Next).
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and make architecture-level decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations and disciplines.
  • Strong communication, execution, and technical leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Prior experience with vehicle display, infotainment, or HMI systems, including vehicle settings, personalization features, or Android Automotive OS (AAOS)–based platforms.
  • Understanding of layered and service-oriented software architectures used in automotive display and infotainment systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and Continuous Testing (CT) practices for software-intensive systems, including system integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Exposure to reliability engineering, diagnostics, and regulatory or quality compliance requirements applicable to automotive electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • System architecture ownership for Integrated Center Stack display features
  • End-to-end functional decomposition and requirement traceability
  • Architectural allocation and change control across multiple programs
  • System-level requirements definition, validation planning, co-simulation strategy, and acceptance criteria
  • Risk identification, FMEA ownership, and mitigation strategy definition
  • Cross-functional technical leadership and stakeholder alignment
