About The Position
Cruise is seeking a Staff IT Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team within IT Enterprise Technology. This role is pivotal in leading the technical aspects of software development and management across a variety of corporate systems and technologies. As a Staff IT Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and supporting applications and services that create a streamlined technology experience for all Cruisers. You will drive strategic cross-functional initiatives, assess technology needs, and deliver end-to-end solutions by collaborating with various business teams. In this position, you will act as the technical lead and architect for systems such as Communication and Collaboration systems, Issue Management, Content Management, Identity and Access Management, and IT Asset Management. Your responsibilities will include developing applications and services to enhance system scope and value, evaluating the existing technical landscape, and devising strategies to evolve services. You will lead programs and projects by aligning business requirements with IT strategies, providing influence and guidance on system architecture, problem resolution, team decisions, and project planning. Delivering high-quality software using Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborating with other engineering teams to design, implement, and integrate business applications will also be key components of your role.
