About The Position

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to: Work on emerging technologies, building distributed applications. Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven solutions. Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved. Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner. Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following skills: Java.
Front end Technologies.
Spring Framework.
Web service standards and related patterns (REST, JSON).
Hibernate and RDBMS technologies: PostgreSQL, Oracle.
Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
GIT, Maven, Jenkins, and JUnit frameworks.
