TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Quality Engineer to perform quality assurance activities concerned with the engineering of products, materials, and processes. The role involves preparing software quality plans, answering questions related to standard practices, and supporting customer audits. The Staff Quality Engineer will provide recommendations to software development groups, review and approve various software development documents, and participate in design and code reviews. The position also includes verifying software builds, supporting system-level testing, and performing audits of software configuration management. The engineer will act as a liaison between departments, assist with performance appraisals, and track program budgets while developing and implementing quality procedures.

  • Prepares software quality plans and estimates.
  • Answers questions relating to standard practices and procedures, and supports customer audits.
  • Provides recommendations to software development groups on tools, methods, and practices.
  • Reviews and approves software development plans, test procedures, and internal documents.
  • Participates in reviews of design, code, and test cases.
  • Verifies software builds, baselines, and releases.
  • Supports system level testing and validates results.
  • Performs validations of test software and automated test equipment software.
  • Performs audits of software configuration management and development activities.
  • Controls program budgets and develops estimates-to-complete.
  • Acts as liaison Team leader between departments.
  • Tracks program budgets and provides work scope for team members.
  • Develops and implements quality procedures.
  • Establishes and collects data for metrics reporting.
  • Prepares status reports for management and presents status as required.
  • Mentors and trains new hires.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • 15+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of specialized PC software required by certain projects.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite of software tools (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Detailed knowledge of MIL-Q-9858A and MIL-STD-1520.
  • Familiarity with standard electronic test equipment.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action methodology.
  • Must have a background that permits the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret Clearance.
