About The Position
We have an immediate opening for a Staff Software Engineer, with a proven track record of success to join our rapidly growing team. This person will be a critical member of the FAST Engineering team in San Francisco, and is responsible for working in a product team building new features and products across web and mobile. All of the engineers work across the full stack, so we take special care to make the experience as seamless and productive as possible. You will contribute to our process by developing best practices/conventions, tooling, and evaluating new libraries/technologies. In this role, you will develop 0-1 products and high velocity features on web and mobile, acting as a tech lead for larger projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with hands-on coding experience, and will be expected to code approximately 80% of the time. You will work in agile, fast-paced environments, handling large amounts of data and designing scalable backend systems for high throughput. Experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is essential, along with a track record of launching and iterating on apps or large software projects. Additionally, recruiting experience, including sourcing, interviewing, and offering, is ideal. A full-stack engineering background with proficiency in Django, Python, React, and React Native is preferred to optimize ramp-up time.
