About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with strong technical foundation in Java, REST APIs, Microservices, Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, Kafka, Event Hubs, Elasticsearch, Snowflake. The incumbent will need to be a quick learner. Our current technical environment includes a variety of software and tools such as Java, Python, Groovy, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Codacy, Checkmarx, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc. The application architecture is scalable, resilient, event-driven, and secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture, with cloud architecture primarily on MS Azure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred) with Computers or Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Software development using Java along with strong Architecture and design skills.
• Strong programming skills and background in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and Bash.
• Ability to debug and diagnose issues in complex enterprise applications.
• Hands-On experience and Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud (preferably AZURE, AWS), Kubernetes, GitHub, GitHub Actions, DevOps domain knowledge.
• Front end Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON).
• Object Oriented Design (OOD).
• Linux/Unix & Windows Platform.
• Excellent team player with a go-get attitude.
• Experienced Agilist.
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively work with stakeholders and team.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Consistently delivers solid quality in both design and implementation.
• Focus on innovation and improving delivery effectiveness by driving product development features across the organization.
• Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment across multiple products.
• Apply appropriate software engineering patterns utilizing a meta-driven systems approach to build robust and scalable systems.
• Influence fellow engineers by proposing software designs and providing feedback.
• Leverage expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences of operational issues.
• Develop quality software according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.
• Participate in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Translate business requirements to user stories and actively seek feedback from stakeholders.
• Lead designs of individual stories and translate the design to subtasks.
• Consider aspects of information security while coding and reviewing others' code.
• Keep up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry.
• Design, architect, implement and document next generation system architecture and automation solutions.
• Evaluate and coach other engineers on technical and interpersonal best practices.
• Provide support/guidance for day-to-day operations/systems.
