As a Staff Software Engineer at Circle, you will play a crucial role in extending our in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support the tokenization of the world. Your responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing systems, as well as modifying them as necessary. You will build and own scalable microservices that ensure reliable and secure APIs for transferring value and assets across various blockchain protocols and traditional banking systems. Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams will be essential as you design, test, and shape Circle's features, which includes developing and documenting system design procedures, testing protocols, and quality standards. In this role, you will also troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning, build publicly accessible APIs for developers to integrate with complex payment systems, and integrate Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies. Consulting with management to ensure alignment on system principles and writing the infrastructure to deliver exceptional payment experiences will also be part of your duties. You will be expected to perform other related tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of Circle's mission.
