About The Position

Join a high-growth fintech leader as a Staff Engineer building the infrastructure that powers embedded financial services for platforms like Amazon and DoorDash. You will own complex technical projects end-to-end, re-architecting systems for scale as Parafin expands into new business lines like real-time banking and AI-driven credit products.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, specifically building and scaling high-traffic production systems within high-growth startups or fintech environments.
• Expert proficiency in backend development with Python, Go, or similar languages, plus deep experience with AWS/GCP and distributed database design.
• Proven track record of technical leadership, capable of driving complex architectural decisions and shipping mission-critical financial infrastructure with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and distributed infrastructure using Python and other strongly-typed languages.
• Lead cross-functional technical initiatives from ideation to deployment, collaborating with Data Science and Product to launch zero-to-one financial products.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers while establishing technical excellence and high-velocity shipping standards across multiple engineering teams.
