About The Position

Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced features and functionality for SiriusXM 360L Automotive applications for Linux-based OS using Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin and RxJava, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Perform code reviews, work with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end systems, debug and resolve software defects and issues, and optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness. Help define test strategies, automate tests, and ensure high software quality throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, plus 5 years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Automation Architect or Technology Associate or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Automation Architect or Technology Associate.
• All of the required experience must have included: developing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, best practices, and mobile UI/UX principles; troubleshooting and debugging complex software development issues; collaborating with cross-functional teams; and working with RESTful APIs, JSON, version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Three years of the required experience must have included: designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications using Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin, React Native, JavaScript, and related libraries.
