About The Position

About the team: The team focuses on designing, developing, and managing integrations within the Workday platform and connected systems. Members collaborate across functions to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions, emphasizing best practices in architecture, coding standards, and continuous integration/deployment. The group values clear communication and agile methodologies to meet evolving business needs. Engineers contribute to building and maintaining Workday business processes, reports, and integrations, ensuring high-quality deliverables. This team supports innovation and operational excellence by leveraging expertise in Workday tools, APIs, and web services to drive impactful results aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and related programming languages with experience in API and web services design.
  • Experience applying cloud-native architecture principles such as microservices, containers, and automation.
  • Ability to design scalable, resilient, and maintainable software solutions aligned with platform roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated skills in mentoring engineers and leading technical decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and building intelligent automation features.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven development practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area

  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
  • Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages.
  • Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions to promote standardization and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.
  • Contribute to API design, code quality improvements, and engineering best practices.
  • Adapt to evolving technologies and foster continuous innovation and process enhancements.
