Staff Software Engineer

WME | William Morris EndeavorBeverly Hills, CO

About The Position

WME is building the next generation of internal platforms that power one of the world’s leading entertainment companies. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, shaping architecture, and building systems that become foundational to how an organization operates. The software we build helps agents and teams manage relationships, deals, and opportunities across the global entertainment industry. You’ll partner closely with product managers and designers to build thoughtful, scalable systems that support critical business workflows. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll help influence architectural direction, mentor engineers, and tackle some of the most complex technical challenges across the platform. We’re also investing heavily in AI-assisted development, and engineers on this team actively use modern AI tools and workflows to improve development velocity and product quality. We’re building this engineering organization largely from the ground up, so we’re looking for engineers who enjoy scrappy environments, are comfortable navigating ambiguity, and want to help shape how a team operates. We’re looking for engineers who like owning meaningful problems end-to-end and helping shape both the systems and the engineering culture around them. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Example Problems You Might Work On: Designing systems that capture and connect relationships across the entertainment industry Building modern CRM workflows that replace fragmented legacy tools and spreadsheets Developing AI-powered features that surface insights from operational data Creating APIs and services that support complex deal and workflow management Migrating legacy applications into modern web-based systems

  • Strong full-stack development experience building modern web applications
  • Experience with React / Next.js or similar frameworks
  • Experience designing scalable APIs and backend systems
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong product instincts and collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in environments where systems and processes are still evolving

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable web applications and APIs
  • Drive architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems
  • Partner closely with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful solutions
  • Translate operational needs into practical technical systems
  • Improve developer productivity through tooling, automation, and AI-assisted development
  • Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar
