About The Position

As a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) at PayPal, you will be responsible for championing the automated assessment of product deliverables for the PayPal Consumer iOS and Android Applications. This role focuses on ensuring a proper automation test strategy, planning, and flawless execution to mitigate risks early in the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with various teams to enhance the quality of our applications and contribute to a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of automation experience
• 4+ years of mobile automation experience
• Strong problem-solving ability with a passion for debugging complex issues
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Strong experience writing mobile XCUITests (iOS) AND/OR Android
• Experience with a version control system (GIT, SVN, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Promote and encourage a culture of quality throughout the organization.
• Remove barriers to automation development, execution, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify automation requirements for new features.
• Own the implementation or enhancement of automation framework features.
• Maintain a roadmap of automation improvements.
• Collaborate with tooling and release teams to achieve results, efficiently and accurately.
