Vanta’s product monitors the security posture for thousands of companies, pulling tens of millions of API calls of data per day, pushing information from hundreds of thousands of laptop agents, and running tests against that data continuously to identify potential security threats. Our frontend infrastructure and tooling need to stay ahead of exponential growth in our customer base. As a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta, you’ll be responsible for setting technical direction to provide a strong foundation for our frontend stack and enable our infrastructure to scale with our business. You will also drive complex projects across our technical stack and mentor our talented engineering team. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with full stack development, delivering customer facing components that are used by multiple product teams
• Prior experience on a platform team
• Served as a technical lead for large projects (6+ months in length), including defining the roadmap for complex projects spanning multiple teams and functions
• Built successful SaaS product foundations for both startup and enterprise users
• Upleveled teams of engineers by mentoring and leading by example
• Experience working at rapidly scaling startups and large companies, especially with environments that prioritize a bias for action

Responsibilities

• Hands-on lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable our business and team to scale
• Lead design reviews and communicate constraints to ensure we are making the right trade-offs
• Advocate for product quality and collaborate with product engineering teams on cross cutting features
• Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
• Collaborate with Security to ensure Vanta’s platform implements best practices for customer data
• Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to build and execute the engineering strategy to expand the quality, scalability, and reliability of Vanta’s codebase
• Act as a cultural beacon, setting an example for effective, collaborative engineering and helping mentor junior team members
