About The Position

The Partner Engineering team is part of the larger Ecosystem Engineering organization and provides seamless help to our partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional experience for all Crunchyroll fans. Partner Engineering is a globally distributed team with a presence in San Francisco, Mexico City, London, Paris, and Hyderabad. As a Staff Partner Engineer, you'll lead deployments, optimize implementations, and handle integrations to build successful, long-term partnerships. You will own technical engagements and be the key driver in finding creative/innovative solutions that lead Crunchyroll's experiences to the next level. You will lead projects that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing. You'll help improve existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. This is a full-stack role with a strong front-end focus. You have a broad understanding of security, performance, accessibility, and compliance, from the end-user's device through to our cloud services. You'll be expected to contribute by enhancing HTML applications, adding new partner functionality, debugging, profiling, and analyzing data. You'll need a good awareness of UX as you will innovate, adding new features and owning partner deployments. You will report to the Senior Manager of Partner Engineering. We are considering applicants for San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in our office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience building and deploying complex systems in collaboration with external partners.
  • Experience with Client/Server architectures and scalable technologies.
  • Experience working with HTML, Javascript, and the browser ecosystem.
  • Experience designing, working with, and integrating cloud APIs.
  • Ability to engage both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Partner facing experience across technical and business domains.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with device-based platforms and ecosystems such as Smart TVs, WebOS, AndroidTV, Android Automotive.
  • Experience with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and pay TV Operators.
