Senior Software Engineer - Hardware Integration The Hardware Integration team is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in React (JS/TS) and Electron to build high-performance, cross-platform desktop applications. A proficient candidate shows a strong grasp of RESTful backend services and excels at crafting resilient messaging systems to orchestrate intricate workflows between the UI and GO backend service. An enthusiasm for intuitive user experiences and clean, maintainable code is essential. The candidate will coach junior developers and be part of the entire software development life cycle. Candidates who would fit in well have an educational background in computer science or related degree, possess real-world experience working in enterprise environments, collaborate well with hard-working agile teams, have a passion for learning, and continually seek individual growth. Preferred qualifications encompass familiarity with Linux operating system, container frameworks, real-time and delayed communication protocols, as well as developing and deploying monitoring, observability, and log aggregation within systems. Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related Engineering field
7+ years of experience in software development through entire product lifecycle for commercial products
5+ years of experience designing and implementing front-end applications (Angular, ReactJS, TypeScript)
3+ years of experience with backend applications (C#/.NET, Go, Java)
Demonstrated understanding of multi-threaded software design and message based communication
Demonstrated understanding of development in process-oriented/regulated environments and quality management systems
Experience using Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Linux OS driver development
Experience with RESTful and SOAP services, as well as Message Queueing
Experience with container orchestration frameworks (Docker, Snap, Kubernetes)
Experience operating in agile development environments
Experience working in a regulated environment
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Automation/Process Control
Growth mindset with interest in continuous learning
Experience with embedded software for hardware devices
Knowledge of Linux OS, container frameworks, communication protocols (synchronous and asynchronous)
Experience with monitoring, observability, and log collation systems

Responsibilities

Develop and test code in a manufacturing environment to verify electro-mechanical systems
Design user-friendly test modules and interfaces optimized for manufacturing and support staff
Work independently to specify, plan, design, develop, test, and support software components
Partner with teammates to architect solutions, outline requirements specifications, and define test strategies
Contribute to project scheduling including scope, task duration, and execution order
Supervise work progress against commitments and report to leadership promptly
Propose solutions to maintain schedule milestones, including prioritization and scope management
Implement new software components or enhance existing products
Troubleshoot and debug existing automation systems
Participate in technical design reviews and code inspections
Ensure alignment with BDDS development policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (21 CFR part 11), BD quality standards, and deliver high-quality software
