Walmart's Associate Experience Platform team is seeking an exceptional Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack) to help strengthen our GenAI Experience Platform. You will be hands-on in developing scalable, reusable platform services using cutting-edge GenAI technologies—bringing innovation to the daily lives of 2.2 million Walmart associates worldwide. The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise.   • Designing and developing full stack platform features with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
  • Building scalable, production-ready services and UIs powered by GenAI capabilities.
  • Collaborating with researchers and data scientists to productize GenAI models into real-world apps.
  • Leading engineering best practices with a focus on code quality, performance, and automation.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and contributing to system reliability.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging GenAI solutions and best practices.
  • Deep experience building modern web applications, with a frontend-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern frontend architectures.
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience building production-ready APIs and microservices.
  • Passion for performance, reusability, and clean, scalable design.
  • Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD workflows, and containerization (Docker).
  • 4+ years of industry experience with proven leadership and delivery.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
