ServiceNow is seeking a highly innovative and strategic Staff Software Engineer to join our Digital Technology Go-To-Market (GTM) team. This role is at the intersection of AI, data engineering, and marketing/sales enablement, focused on building intelligent solutions that empower our GTM teams to drive customer engagement and business growth. You will be responsible for designing and prototyping AI-powered capabilities that leverage both internal and external data to optimize GTM motions. This is a hands-on engineering role for a strategic thinker and creative problem solver who thrives on turning customer feedback into working prototypes and proof-of-concepts that can be tested directly with sellers and marketers.

  • Design and develop AI-powered solutions that enhance marketing and sales workflows using internal and external data sources.
  • Build scalable data pipelines and services to support real-time insights, personalization, and predictive capabilities.
  • Partner with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define the art of the possible with AI in GTM.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on concepts, delivering POCs that can be tested with end users for feedback and refinement.
  • Apply modern software engineering practices including microservices, API-first design, and cloud-native development.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends in AI, data, and GTM tooling, and bring innovative ideas to life.
  • Contribute to solution architecture discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Champion a customer-obsessed mindset, ensuring solutions are intuitive, impactful, and aligned with user needs.
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on AI, data engineering, or intelligent systems.
  • Proven experience building scalable applications using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages, and experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience working with large-scale data systems, APIs, and microservices.
  • Good understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, including using base models and augmenting them with RAG techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Customization Platform) or similar frameworks.
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and deliver working prototypes quickly.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Passion for innovation, customer experience, and driving measurable business impact.
  • Experience with GTM technologies such as CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), marketing automation, and sales enablement platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform and solutions, including workflow automation and data fabric.
  • Background in building AI-powered personalization, recommendation engines, or predictive analytics.
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design and iterative product development.
