Position Summary CVS Health is seeking a hands-on, passionate, and forward-thinking Software Development Engineer/Lead to join a dynamic and rapidly evolving team at the forefront of digital health innovation. This role is ideal for individuals who are excited about building AI-driven capabilities and leveraging emerging technologies such as generative AI, agentic AI, and intelligent automation to transform the future of healthcare. As part of the Aetna Technology organization, you will Design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. In this role, you will: Leverages expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards. Contributes to solution design and architecture discussions, collaborating with architects and senior engineers. Provides input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives. Participates in code reviews and ensures adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Communicates and coordinates with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision-making processes. Contributes to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality. Participates in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. Works with other developers and team members to implement complex features, enhance existing functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code. Provides guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally. Nice To Haves

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs using Java, Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate and orchestrate LangChain and LLM-based services into production environments.
• Build robust data preprocessing workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external and internal RESTful services.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
• Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker)
• Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in data services and APIs.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
