Position Summary As a Staff Software Development Engineer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of complex, modern software solutions—mentoring engineers, shaping architectural direction, and driving technical excellence. You’ll champion the integration of AI-driven features and spearhead the transformation of legacy systems into scalable, user-friendly web applications. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about hands-on innovation, leveraging new technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on hands on Java, Angular and Typescript including:
• Proficiency with Oracle databases, including writing complex queries and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software development or architecture
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in an Agile environment
• Deep expertise in designing scalable, high-availability systems using Java, Angular, and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design
• Experience working with large-scale Oracle databases in enterprise environments
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation or process improvement

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality web and batch applications using Angular, Java, and Oracle technologies.
• Lead modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems—including green-screen interfaces—to modern, scalable Angular web applications and optimized backend processes.
• Drive the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into applications, identifying opportunities for automation, intelligent features, and data-driven improvements.
• Develop robust frontend (Angular) and backend (Java/Oracle) code, utilizing test-driven development principles for both web interfaces and batch processing components.
• Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership and fostering best practices in coding, architecture, modernization, and AI adoption.
