The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Supervisor) serves as the California Military Department (CMD) Asset Manager / State Property Book Manager (PBM). Under the direction of the Director, J4, The SSM I (Supervisor) is responsible for the oversight and management of the CMD's State Property Book (state assets) that consists of over $65 million dollars of equipment statewide; serves as the Department's Fleet Manager and the Manager of Warehouse Operations for the CMD Headquarters. This position coordinates, develops, and recommends procedural and operational CMD policies related to State Property and ensures these policies and procedures meet California State regulations and the State Administrative Manual (SAM). The SSM I (Supervisor) will directly supervise two staff members and coordinate activities with other J4 staff members as well as CMD locations throughout the State.
