About The Position

This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by planning, organizing, managing, and directing the work of the Revenue Collection Unit. The incumbent directs the activities of the unit staff and is responsible for all aspects of the Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) revenue collection, processing, tracking, and reconciling operations. The incumbent ensures accurate fiscal oversight and takes appropriate action to ensure staff processes revenue following State Accounting general guidelines and CDPH/CHCQ processes and procedures. The incumbent must possess thorough knowledge of Licensing and Certification, State and Federal laws, regulations, State Accounting and contract processes, the State Contract Manual, the State Administrative Manual, and various other accepted policies and procedures. The SSM I will set performance goals, schedule work and special projects, and liaison with the Regional Office managers and professional staff as necessary. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II. Teleworking may be available for this position, in accordance with CDPH's Telework Policy and Procedures.
