About The Position

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE. Under the supervision of the Investigation Support Unit Manager, a Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs a variety of the less complex analytical and administrative assignments for the Investigation Division (ID). In this role, performs as the Personnel Liaison and serves as the Attendance Clerk and Single Point of Contact between the ID staff and the Human Resource Services Division on personnel and attendance matters. The SSA responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing less complex administrative activities related to ID's personnel and attendance clerk functions, coordinating all personnel hiring, onboarding/offboarding, to ensure compliance with the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, the California Department of Human Resources, and the Employment Development Department (EDD) requirements. Additionally, the incumbent may also assist with a variety of special analytical projects within the ID. Under the direction of the Investigation Support Unit Manager, a Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs the more complex work in a wide variety of analytical and administrative assignments for the ID. In this role, performs as the Personnel Liaison and serves as the Attendance Clerk and Single Point of Contact between the ID staff and the Human Resource Services Division on personnel and attendance matters. The AGPA responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Independently performing the more complex administrative activities related to ID's personnel and attendance clerk functions, coordinating all personnel hiring, onboarding/offboarding, to ensure compliance with the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, the California Department of Human Resources, and the Employment Development Department (EDD) requirements. Additionally, the incumbent may also assist with a variety of special analytical projects within the ID. The incumbent demonstrates personal skill and initiative in communications and work habits; possesses knowledge or is inquisitive to locate and interpret relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; completes assignments in a timely and efficient manner within the form and format prescribed by the controlling entity of the task; and adheres to the EDD's policies regarding attendance, leave, conduct, and appearance. Coordinates and plans ID's confidential destruction witnessing process; coordinates and processes the swearing-in ceremony documents; researches, analyzes data, and submits recommendations in order for ID management to prepare requests on ID Directories, Department of Motor Vehicle confidential requests; and the blue/yellow parking placards permits annually. Acts as backup for facilities which includes: monitoring ID leases; working with the Administration Branch Facilities representatives on facility requests for division field offices; identifying appropriate space; coordinating facility services; and submitting request for accessing, canceling, and tracking building accesses, etc. Coordinates the annual Proximity Access Card review for the Division. Also, acts as backup for the following responsibilities: maintaining the copiers ID central office and field office for inventory, service, repairs; maintaining the emergency kits; peace officer equipment; office supplies; post office boxes; record management and retention; processing restitution checks; and coordinating translation requests. Assists, as needed, in analyzing, reviewing, and editing reports, memorandums, letters, emails, forms, and packages for tone, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to ensure the content is clear and concise and written in a logical manner. Requirements
