  • Lead the design and implementation of security architectures and controls for Box's foundational platforms, including identity, API integration, frontend frameworks and mobile security.
  • Conduct architectural risk assessments and develop secure components and patterns to make our platforms and frameworks secure-by-design.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, security architecture, production security, and compliance teams to integrate security into our new platform development.
  • Drive continuous improvement by researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Mentor and guide security engineers on finding and remediating security problems at scale.
  • Influence company-wide security standards and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing around platform security strategies.
  • Experienced security engineer with 12+ years in software or security engineering roles, including significant experience architecting and securing large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of platform security domains such as identity management, cryptography, API security, supply chain security, and cloud infrastructure security.
  • Skilled in threat modeling, architectural risk assessment, and designing secure-by-default frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills and familiarity with modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern service development (K8s, microservices, service mesh).
  • Growth mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to engage technical and leadership audiences.
