About The Position
A research scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Shan Meltzer at the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University (with affiliation to Vanderbilt Brain Institute). Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is a prestigious private research institution renowned for its cutting-edge biomedical research and medical education. The main focus of research in Dr. Meltzer’s Laboratory is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of mammalian somatosensory development and function, using a combination of transcriptomics, imaging, mouse genetics, physiology, and behavior. This research will provide important insights for treating nerve injury, pain, and somatosensory dysfunctions in diseases. The candidates are expected to present their work at laboratory meetings and publish their findings.
