About The Position
The Staff Scientist for the Knight Lab supports research projects by designing and performing lab assays and analysis. This role assists the Principal Investigator (PI), Research Staff, and Students with various lab procedures and projects. The Staff Scientist performs analysis of laboratory data, including statistical analysis and data from flow cytometry, requiring familiarity with basic methods in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Molecular Genetics. Regularly generating reports on data obtained from experiments, the Staff Scientist organizes, curates, and updates databases of the acquired information and the corresponding analyses. Additionally, this position maintains orderly records, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and maintains a safe and orderly working environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
