About The Position

Staff Scientist – TB & COVID Labs Join the Kaushal Lab at Texas Biomedical Research Institute as a Staff Scientist, utilizing your specialized expertise to provide high-level support to research projects and contribute to cutting-edge scientific work Our Ideal Candidate: Design and conduct research, contributing to scientific approaches and achieving research goals. Prepare research results for publication and assist with grant and contract applications. Mentor and provide leadership to team members, fostering accountability and positive performance. Advise on talent management, including hiring, performance reviews, and retention strategies. Maintain close collaboration with faculty and research teams.

Requirements

Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DVM, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Minimum of three years of relevant research experience.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct research, contributing to scientific approaches and achieving research goals.
Prepare research results for publication and assist with grant and contract applications.
