About The Position

The Jiang Lab at the Medical University of South Carolina aims to understand the role of microbiome, inflammation, pathogenic autoantibody, and B cell dysfunction in human disease immunopathogenesis in HIV. • The staff scientist will conduct HIV projects in the lab, train the lab members, and help run the lab.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab routine work, and apply for lab safety documents
• Conduct immunologic and molecular biologic experiments in human studies and collect and analyze data
• Conduct immunologic and molecular biologic experiments (i.e. western, IF, qPCR) in animal studies and collect and analyze data
• Refine and standardize existing experimental procedures and train new lab members.
