About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for supporting the Higher Levels of Support with resident relations, scheduling, hiring/onboarding/orientation process for nursing staff, presentations, office management, reports. Also included in this position is the expectation that the person in this job will: Uphold and put into daily practice the values of Carol Woods. Support the well-being and quality of life of every individual resident. Function as a good steward of resident resources. Contribute to Carol Woods’ approach to continual quality improvement. Support the concepts of a learning organization.

Requirements

  • REQUIRED Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in a medically related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft products a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creation, coordination, and maintenance of the schedule for the HLOS Nursing Staff
  • Works closely with the Nurse Administration Team to address and communicate callouts, open shifts, and on-call.
  • Maintains and processes all payroll-related documentation for the HLOS Nursing staff.
  • Works with DON to prepare data for QAPI Committee meetings.
  • Manages initial recruitment process for Nursing Staff
  • Participate in the New Hire Orientation Process for Nursing Staff employees.
  • Assist with Access Dental Care record maintenance and on-site visits.
  • Ensure all appropriate staff have access to, but not limited to, the following: UNC Care Link, Electronic Health Record, Emergency medication delivery system, Outlook.
  • Assists and participates in nursing skills fair and other educational offerings as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned.
  • Fiscal accountability, proper supply ordering and proper use/care of equipment
  • Completion of mandatory On-line educational modules (monthly and as otherwise assigned).
  • Attendance at required educational sessions, in-services, and staff meetings.
  • Attendance at annual Culture Day session (Full-time mandatory)
  • Involvement/understanding of Organizational Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • All other duties as assigned.
