About The Position

Come Join Our Telemetry Team as a PRN at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee! Per Diem- Variable Join the dedicated Telemetry team at St. Mary Hospital, where you'll care for a diverse patient population with a focus on cardiac monitoring and stroke recovery. This is a great opportunity for both experienced RNs and new graduates eager to explore a high-acuity specialty in a supportive hospital setting.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
• Ventilator Management experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings
• Perform routine RN duties including assessments, bedside dialysis, and medication administration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and improve outcomes
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
