The Surgical Services PACU RN at Marshall Medical Center is responsible for the care of designated patients following surgical and special procedures, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to MMC’s standards of practice. This includes providing intensive nursing care in the immediate post-operative period until care is transferred to the Primary Care Nurse. The role also involves maintaining good public relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, acting as the patient’s advocate, overseeing non-professional staff impacting patient care, and ensuring safe handling of infectious material.
