About The Position

The position involves working the night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every other weekend required. The role offers various full-time equivalents (FTE) options: 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week), 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week), and 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week). The nurse is expected to float to other Behavioral Health nursing units as needed at the direction of leadership. The starting rate is $34.68 per hour, with additional differentials for night and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs.
• Communicates patient care needs and priorities to assigned Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
