About The Position

The Staff RN position in Lisle/Westmont is a part-time role requiring 24-28 hours of work per week. The working hours are from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 8am to 4pm on weekends, with 2-3 weekday shifts and every other weekend required. The role may involve travel to other locations as needed. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Knowledge of nursing skills in accordance with nursing standards in the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
  • Current and valid Illinois Nurse License.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and multi-task.
  • Resilience in managing stress in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to provide age and culturally specific care.

Responsibilities

  • Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Assists Provider in taking patient histories, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for routine exams or procedures.
  • Observes, records, and reports the patient's condition and reaction to treatments and/or drugs.
  • Administers first aid, immunizations, and injections; assists Provider with minor surgical procedures.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
  • Delivers patient education according to the individualized needs of the patient.
  • Responds to and triages incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and preparation of medical equipment.
  • Performs and delegates a variety of tasks to facilitate patient office visits and procedures.
  • Ensures that all controlled substances are secured and appropriately accounted for.
  • May schedule tests and procedures and obtain insurance pre-authorization.
