About The Position

The ICU Staff RN is responsible for providing nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with Marshall Medical Center's standards. This role emphasizes patient advocacy and accountability, ensuring that care is delivered compassionately and based on evidence. The ICU RN will oversee non-professional staff activities that impact patient care and will work primarily during night shifts.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Previous ICU experience preferred.
• Physical and mental health sufficient to accomplish nursing duties.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
• Candidates who completed senior preceptorship in ICU preferred.
• Acute care work experience, particularly in ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ICU patients following the nursing process.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for patient care within designated time frames.
• Function as a patient advocate at all times.
• Oversee the performance of non-professional staff impacting patient care.
