About The Position

This Staff RN position provides general nursing care to patients and families across the continuum of care in diverse, acute healthcare settings. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The role involves providing professional nursing care services, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients, and operating within a department that functions 24/7/365. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), the role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree: Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification
- BSN required at 5 years of employment
Responsibilities
- Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%)
- Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%)
- Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%)
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%)
- Performs Operations (10%)
- Focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties as a High Reliability Organization (HRO)
