About The Position

Stamford Health is looking for a Fulltime DAY Shift ED Psych RN to join their Emergency Department team! This position is a FULLTIME DAY SHIFT position with the hours from 7am to 8pm, rotating weekend and holidays. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintain minimum of 6 contact hours annually.

Nice To Haves

• BSN strongly preferred.
• TNCC preferred

Responsibilities

• The Psychiatric ED RN will do assessment and triage and providing stabilizing treatment including restraints and crisis intervention.
• Follow all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
• Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role.
• Adhere to all Stamford Hospital’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
• Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.
