About The Position

The Staff Research Associate I position in the area of cardiothoracic imaging lab is available within the UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. Under direct supervision and guidance from the supervisor, the successful candidate will perform management of a cardiothoracic imaging & radiological reporting laboratory and help lab personnel for imaging. Note : This is a limited role with an end date 1 year from the start date. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $31.04 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

  • BA/BS biology, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, applied physics, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, computer science or in a related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous exposure to research laboratory environment.
  • Experience in imaging science research
  • Ability to analyze imaging data
  • Ability to work with diverse team of researchers, scientists, and students
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative
  • Demonstrated record of reliability and excellent attendance
