Under the direction of the program director or designee, this position will support the CLS instructors by preparing the lab equipment to be used for daily learning activities and competencies; organizing and maintaining the lab equip ment and supplies; and preparing clinical specimens or samples as needed. The ideal candidate will have good oral and written communication skills as well as good computer skills in word processing and data management. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting the laboratory activities associated with the Clinical Laboratory Science programs which include the skills certificate in Phlebotomy; AAS-Medical Laboratory Technician; and BAS-Medical Laboratory Scientist. Support laboratory and microbiology activities in the Medical Assisting and Dental Science programs. Maintain inventory stock and manage supplies for both West Charleston and Henderson CLS labs. Participate in laboratory teaching activities as needed. Maintain appropriate PPE for faculty and students. Handle, store, and dispose of all biological and chemical waste. Other duties as assigned.
